in his armchair as evening turned into night

Pearl would've been humming one song after another, a rosary....

Pearl and Jess had spent the last part of their lives together at Jess's farm.

Until the morning came and she called her people.

In the year 1976, Mama went out for the funeral.
Pearl and Betty and Sherry would sing together...a blessing song, together.

A little while after that Pearl and Betty lived together again. They moved to Dimondale, close to Lansing, Michigan.
